Saint Peters Basilica - This basilica is built on the site of a 4 basilica that is believed to be home to the tomb of St. Peter who was the originator of St. Peter’s Basilica. A few of the well-known architects include Raphael, Donato Bramante, and Michelangelo.

Vatican Gardens – The gardens were started in 1279 when Nicolas III moved his permanent residence to the Vatican and since that time has grown to be one of the most serene and beautiful gardens in the world.

Vatican City does have a dress code in place like churches throughout Rome. Women must have shoulders covered and cannot wear shorts, tank tops, or mini skirts. Men must also wear long pants and no tank tops.
